It's time to seek new officers for our Master Gardener association for the upcoming year. Please let me know if you are interested in holding any of the following offices.
>>President elect: The President-Elect shall preside at CGMGA meetings in the absence of the President, and shall assume the office of President in the event that the President should be unable to perform the duties of the office. The President-Elect will assume the office of President at the expiration of the current President’s term
>>Alternate OMGA state representative: The Alternate State Representative shall attend quarterly meetings of the OMGA in the absence of the State Representative and may attend meetings with the State Representative if approved by the Executive Committee. The Alternate State Representative shall assume the office of State Representative in the event that the State Representative is unable to perform the duties of the office.
Sue Sanchez has agreed to be our CGMGA president for 2017 and Sandy Montag, our recently appointed Alternate OMGA state representative, will move to the state representative position.
Officers shall be elected at the Fall CGMGA meeting by a simple majority of those voting at the meeting and by email votes received at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.
We are actively seeking 3 more Master Gardeners to participate in helping to lead our Association. As we have recently amended the CGMGA ByLaws (below), the CGMGA officers were looking for 5 additional Master Gardeners to join the elected officers, in making up the Executive Committee. Please let me know if you're interested in representing Master Gardeners and in attending monthly executive committee meetings held at 10am on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
CGMGA Bylaws effective August 2016: The Executive Committee shall consist of all elected officers and five additional members from the organization at large. These additional members will be appointed by the elected officers. Contact Shari Bosler if you are interested.
