Teaching About Social Justice Content in Online and Hybrid Courses
This hour long luncheon included presentations by:
- Cub Kahn - Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)
- Olga Rowe - School of Public Policy
- Mehra Shirazi - School of Culture, Language and Society
The format of the luncheon was a panel discussion of teaching DPD content through online formats. Panelists shared experiences they had teaching DPD content through e-campus, practices they found particularly useful, and ways they have identified that promote competency along the DPD student learning outcomes. Benefits of using hybrid course design to promote deep learning and create opportunities for greater student engagement, particularly in large-enrollment courses, were also discussed.
