On September 19 and 20, over 200 new GTAs gathered to attend the New GTA Orientation hosted by the Center for Teaching & Learning. With the first day focused on the needs of new International GTAs and the second day focused on skills for all new GTAs, there was bound to be something for everyone!
Breakout sessions facilitated by the GTA Fellows included topics such as Communication Skills for the US Classroom, OSU Instructional Policies and Procedures, Preparing Your First Class Session, and interactive opportunities for the new GTAs to put their learning to practice. Energy levels were high as the GTA Fellows modeled engaging teaching styles while leading each session. The presentations utilized during the orientation can be found at the links below.
