2015 Winter Sustainability Symposium

Wed., Jan 28, 2015, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Memorial Union. The Center for Teaching and Learning's winter symposium focuses on the issue of sustainability. Our key presenters are addressing topics in assessment, graduate student advising, undergraduate curricula, sustainability in global and service learning, hybrid learning, FERPA and more!

Our guest speaker, Heather Burns, Ed.D., is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Leadership for Sustainability Education Graduate Program in the Educational Leadership & Policy department at Portland State University.

CTL Fall 2014 Symposium

Thurs., Oct 23, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Memorial Union. CTL’s largest symposium to date offers Leadership sessions on program review and on eSETs and effective evaluation of teaching; Promoting Faculty Learning sessions on curricular development, technology in classrooms and--back by popular demand--Tips for Advising International Students; Scholarship of Teaching and Learning sessions on engaged research practices, effective syllabi, and MediaSpace platform; Promoting Learning sessions in Universal Design for Instruction and Internationalized Pedagogy. Learning Management Systems sessions will focus on OSU's migration from Blackboard to Canvas. Registration available
