Every major has unique requirements -- What are yours?

Every college and university is different and every major has unique degree requirements. It is important to plan ahead to make sure the classes you take and the GPA you earn at your partner school transfer and count towards your OSU major!

You have 10 terms from now in which you will maintain an active OSU student status. During the 10 terms, you can take classes at: (1) your partner school only, (2) OSU only, or (3) you can "dual enroll" -- take classes through both OSU and your partner school.

While you take classes at your partner school, you have access to advising resources at OSU. By following the steps below, you can make sure you are taking courses that will transfer and count toward your OSU degree!
>> Step 1: Log into MyDegrees to know what specific courses are needed for the major.
>> Step 2: Find out if some of your required 100 and 200 level courses are available at your partner school!
>> Use our Baccalaureate Core Equivalency Guide, (Bacc Core) to find a list of courses at your partner school that count towards OSU's general education requirements.
>> Use our Transfer Tables to find a list of all courses at your partner school and how they transfer to OSU.
>> Many of our OSU major programs have Oregon community college transfer guides to help DPP students in selecting classes at their community college for their OSU major.
>> Step 3: Contact an academic advisor for your specific OSU major requirement questions.
>> Step 4: Contact us or your partner school for any questions!
Most partner schools will send your transcript to OSU at the end of each term as long as there are no holds on your partner school's account. Once we receive your transfer credits, they will be evaluated and updated into MyDegrees which can take 6-8 weeks for processing.
