Undergraduate Programs

Undergraduate Study

If you're looking for a classic American university, you've found it in OSU! Our undergraduate programs generally take four years to complete. The minimum GPA to gain entry to OSU as an undergraduate student is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. If your GPA is below a 3.0, you should consider applying to the Undergraduate Pathway program. See below for more information.

For a complete list of classes, visit the undergraduate course catalog here.

Undergraduate Pathway Programs

A combination of intensive English and academic courses, Pathway Programs offer students a clear path to the university. After successfully completing the program, students become degree-seeking students. The academic and English language requirements are lower to enter a Pathway program, giving students an opportunity to enter OSU.

Undergraduate Conditional Admission

The Undergraduate Conditional Admission program is now being offered through the Undergraduate Pathway program which provides appropriate language training and access to academic courses for students who meet GPA and language requirements.  (Please see description of Pathway programs and majors above).  Applicants who submit complete applications on or after December 16th, 2013  will be offered the appropriate Pathway program for the Spring 2014 term and beyond.

Students who plan to receive government sponsorship for their studies from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Libya or Oman that meet the academic requirement for direct undergraduate admission but not the English language requirement will be issued a letter of admission stating academic admissibility for sponsorship purposes.

Postbaccalaureate

Do you already have a bachelor's degree and are looking to earn a second bachelor's, minor or certificate? You'll enroll as a postbacc student. The requirements are mostly the same as for direct-admit students, but the college you're applying to will make the final admission decision. English language requirements are a TOEFL of 80 or higher with a minimum subscore of 16 in each section, or an IELTS of 6.5. Conditional Admission with low or no TOEFL/IELTS score is not possible. Visit the OSU Postbacc website for more information.
