Yesterday marked the first time OSU’s class of 2014 made the symbolic walk from the Memorial Union Quad to Gill Coliseum. This is the same walk that many of these students will be taking in four years during commencement. Also called “The New Student Walkâ€, students gather by their declared college and march to Gill Coliseum to listen to an official academic welcome by Larry Roper, Vice Provost of Student Affairs and even OSU President Ed Ray. The walk and convocation is a way to welcome the new students to the campus. This is just one piece of the excitement that is CONNECT week. The full schedule is located on the New Student Programs and Family Outreach page. -EVA
