Buy a Sun Bowl Ticket for a Soldier
Posted December 15th, 2008 by JamesGreetings from Snowy Corvallis!
Are you like me? Do you love the Beavers but are unable to break away from wherever you live to go to the Brut Sun Bowl in El Paso? Well, you can buy a ticket to the game for $40.00 and have it donated to a soldier stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX.
As a bonus, you will receive two free tickets to see Craig Robinson’s rapidly improving Men’s Hoops team against ANY opponent excluding UO…Note that you can choose UW, WSU, UCLA, Arizona or any other Pac-10 opponent. AT MINIMUM, that’s a value of $30.00 on a gift of $40.00 AND you get the warm and fuzzies of doing something really nice for a soldier who is away from home during the holidays.
Here’s the release from OSU Today complete with a link to the ticket site and a phone number for the ticket office:
If you are unable to attend the Sun Bowl but still want to support OSU Athletics, fans are encouraged to purchase and donate a $40 ticket. These tickets will be donated to local military personnel in El Paso. For each Sun Bowl ticket donated, OSU Athletics will send you two tickets to any home 2008-09 Men’s Basketball game (excluding Oregon). Sun Bowl tickets can be donated by calling 1-800-GO-BEAVS, online here, or in person at the Ticket Office (107 Gill Coliseum).
GO BEAVS!
