OSU Gymnastics season wrap up

April 28th, 2006

A comment reminded me to wrap up the NCAA Championships at OSU.

The Beavers quest for a national championship in front of a home crowd ended early. The Oregon State gymnastics team finished with a team score of 195.150 and fifth overall Thursday evening in the second session of the team competition en route to the National Super Six, ending its season. The University of Georgia ended up the eventual national champion.

Oregon State gymnasts Chrissy Lamun and Tasha Smith received the call to the podium to receive their second-team All-American certificates Saturday morning at the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships’ Awards Banquet. Lamun,a senior, earned honors on the balance beam and Smith, a freshman, collected her award for her efforts on the vault. (osubeavers.com)

Thanks to Melinna for the reminder!
