OSU Blogging at AACRAO- continued

April 21st, 2006

On behalf of Dan Crouch and myself, thanks to everyone who attended our Blogs and Chats session at AACRAO in San Diego. We were honored to have been asked to pinch-hit at the national conference. We certainly hope that our presentation shed some light on blogging in higher education. Based on most of the feedback so far, we heard lots of interest in doing another session in the future or one specificially on just blogs or just search engine optimization (SEO). We’ll definitely keep that in mind.

As promised, below are the links to our powerpoint presentation and the mp3 recording of the session. If you have any questions about either one, or follow-up questions concerning blogs and/or SEO techniques, please contact Dan or myself.

  4. Nice presentation. I’d also like to attend your SEO session, if possible by webcast or afterwards on youtube?

Interesting content, particularly the slide about Community and Content, great work..!

There are “catchy words” on your presentation especially the part where it says “GOOGLE LOVES BLOG”. Indeed Google loves blog but their robot is getting smarter and smarter to determine whether you are a good blogger or simply “FLOG” (fake blogging). But, for sure Google will love your blog :)! Nice presentation.

You really do have a very good grasp on tried-and-true SEO techniques. It’s good to see someone giving out this info and genuinely trying to help others without draining their pockets. I really appreciate what you’re doing!
