Wow, the OSU Night receptions that Admissions is hosting around Oregon, California, Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, and Idaho are rapidly filling. These receptions are designed to help those admitted students make decisions about attending OSU, and help those that have applied know more about the process. We have staff and advisors from around campus at the in-state receptions and even some in our out-of-state events.
Our Pasadena, CA event last night had 50 attendees. The Tualatin, OR event registration was closed with over 300 pre-registered with even some drop ins that night.
Tonight we host OSU Night reception on campus at the Alumni Center and it looks like we have 259 people registered. The Portland, OR event at OMSI has over 300 registrants. It definitely seems that students and parents are wanting to know more at this stage.
