Accessibility Basics for the Web


This is an introductory level workshop on website accessibility.

Learn how to make websites accessible to people with disabilities. Topics will include how to address basic accessibility features such as alternative text for images, creating good link text, using headings, and working with tables and forms. We will discuss free tools you can use to audit your own websites. We will also focus on how to address these topics in Drupal, the content management system most OSU offices use for their web presence.

The OSU Policy on Information Technology Accessibility will be discussed, and how to ensure your websites properly meet it.

 All are welcome, employees with website responsibilities are especially encouraged to attend.
