- Baccalaureate Core Ad Hoc Review Committee
A draft proposal for revisions to the Baccalaureate Core is available in its entirety here. Opportunities for public discussion within colleges and in campus-wide groups will be ongoing through a comment period ending April 9. Please watch for these sessions and come prepared to share your ideas and suggestions regarding the proposal. After the comment period, the committee will refine the proposal and present it for discussion at the May 2010 meeting of the Faculty Senate. A vote is anticipated at the June 2010 meeting. Individuals are also invited to provide written comments and feedback via the comments form here.
There will be two all-comers Baccalaureate Core discussion sessions as follows:

- Thursday, April 8, 9:00-9:50 PM in Owen 103
Please attend and share your perspectives on the Core and on the preliminary proposal. In addition, please distribute this announcement widely among all OSU community members and invite their participation.
- Divisional Alignment Forums
The all division forum scheduled for March 9 has been postponed to April 29 from 9:30-11:30 AM in the MU Journey Room. Previous forums were recorded and are available here.
- Faculty Sessions with President Ray
There is still space available for faculty to participate in a small group session with President Ray on either May 3 from 10:00-11:00 AM or May 7 from 2:00-3:00 PM. To register, send the following information to Vickie Nunnemaker: name, unit, email address, faculty category (professional, professorial, etc.) and the date(s) you're available. Each conversation will be facilitated by a Faculty Senate Executive Committee member and will consist of up to 12 faculty. This is an opportunity for the President to hear what faculty are thinking and experiencing.
- Category I Proposals
The following Category I proposals will appear on the May 13 Faculty Senate agenda as action items. Please review these proposals prior to the May meeting.
- OSU Student Photo Roster System
A new Student Photo Roster system that will directly contribute to OSU efforts to encourage and support student-faculty interaction and achieve student access, persistence and success through graduation has just been released. The OSU Student Photo Roster system will provide the instructors of record and college advisors with access to student photos to enhance the learning experience and improve conditions for instructor-student and advisor-student engagement.
Students have two choices regarding the Student Photo Roster System. They must choose to opt out of allowing advisors to view their photos and they must choose to opt in to allow the instructors of record to view their photos as part of a course roster. Selecting the “opt in” option for instructors means that all instructors of record associated with the student’s current classes will be able to view the photograph. Students can change their mind at any time. The instructor of record can access photos for students assigned to class through the Banner class roster system. College advisors will access photos of students assigned to the college through the Banner Self-Service Advising Worksheet. The Technology Across the Curriculum program, part of OSU Media Services, will provide online training documentation for students, instructors and advisors –
