State of the University Address
President Ed Ray will deliver his State of the University Address titled "Choosing Our Future."
Online Network Education and User Program (One-Up)
Scott Etherton, Assistant Director of Residential Life, will present an update on issues regarding online networks such as Facebook and Myspace.
Interinstitutional Faculty Senate
Larry Curtis, IFS Senator, will report on the October Interinstitutional Faculty Senate meeting.
Faculty Senate Fall Elections
Jeff Hale, Bylaws and Nominations Committee Chair, is accepting recommendations for 1)
President-Elect, 2) Executive Committee members, and 3) Interinstitutional Faculty Senate Senator.
Executive Committee nominees must be a current Senator and President-Elect nominees must have been
a Senator (current and past Faculty Senators are available online at
http://oregonstate.edu/dept/senate/membership/).
Nominations may be forwarded
to the Faculty Senate Office via electronic mail to
faculty.senate@oregonstate.edu. Deadline for nominations is October 13.
NOTE: If Senators wish to make a nomination from the floor at the November meeting when the slate of candidates is presented, they must have received prior approval from the nominee.

The following OSU Category I proposal was approved by the OUS Provost's Council on June 2, 2006:
New Program: B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Unit: School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
College: Engineering

With the establishment of this new program, the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and the B.S. degree in Computer Engineering will be phased out. The phase out is expected to be completed and the EE and CpE degrees terminated summer 2012.
Parking Information
Parking Garage - This structure is just north of the CH2M HILL Alumni Center and LaSells Stewart Center. There are 550 parking spaces in the ADA accessible facility with pay stations on all floors. Pay parking is also available around Reser Stadium. Further information is available on the Parking/Transit web site: http://oregonstate.edu/facilities/transit_pkg/index_pkg.html.
Free Campus Parking - Beginning in September, the free gravel parking area south of Reser Stadium will no longer be available due to construction of the south end zone area of Reser Stadium. Free parking will be in the gravel lot west of the Motor Pool and Clark Meat Lab. The lot is accessible from Campus Way between 30th and 35th Streets. The OSU Shuttle Bus will stop there to pick up passengers during the school year. Shuttle stop information is available online at: http://oregonstate.edu/facilities/transit_pkg/index_pkg.html.
