The agenda for the January Senate meeting will include the reports and other items of business listed below.

Install Elected Officials
Installation of President Jeff Hale and President-Elect Bill Boggess; new Executive Committee members: Tracy Bentley-Townlin, Lynda Ciuffetti and Bob Mason; Interinstitutional Faculty Senate Senators, Paul Doescher and Larry Curtis; and newly elected Senators.

Approval of Parliamentarian
Approval of Michael Beachley, Department of Speech Communication, as Faculty Senate Parliamentarian.

Oregon Transfer Module and IFS Report
Dan Edge and Mina Carson, IFS Senators, will lead a discussion regarding the Oregon
Transfer Module. The Interinstitutional Faculty Senate adopted a
motion
on December 4 and recommends that the Senates approve the Oregon Transfer Module as endorsed by the Joint Boards Articulation Commission on November 19, 2004. Dan Edge will also provide a recap of the December IFS meeting.

Faculty Senate Reception
All Senators are invited to a reception immediately following the January Faculty Senate meeting in the LaSells Stewart Center Myrtle Tree Alcove.

Faculty Senate Calendar
Faculty Senate meetings for 2005 have been scheduled from 3:00-5:00 PM on the dates indicated below. At this point, all meetings are scheduled in the LaSells Stewart Center Construction and Engineering Hall, but Senators are advised to check the monthly agenda to determine the meeting site.

New Senator Orientation
All newly elected Senators, and those who have not previously attended a New Senator Orientation, are invited to attend the session scheduled for January 13 from 1:00-2:50 in the LaSells Stewart Center Ag. Production Room. Please contact the Faculty Senate Office if you plan to attend the Orientation and have not previously submitted an RSVP.

Faculty Senate Handbook
Faculty Senate Handbook materials can be found on the Senate web site. Since experience has shown that the majority of Senators do not use the updated materials, and since the web site is frequently updated, hard copies of the Faculty Senate Handbook are no longer being distributed. The web site contains information about Senators, committees, agendas, minutes, etc.
