Expeditions for TAG & High Ability 3rd and 4th graders is an educational summer program designed to provide an enjoyable, stimulating learning environment and aimed to meet the particular needs of these students while in the company of other capable learners.

Oregon State University Precollege Programs sponsors Expeditions which has been developed with guidance from an advisory board of OSU personnel, public school staff, area TAG specialists, and parents.

The half-day morning sessions are held in a Corvallis Public School. Classes meet for ten days, Mondays through Fridays, July 7-18, 2008, 8:45 a.m. to noon. Program participants explore and receive instruction in areas of interest not usually available to them during the regular school year.

Program

Expeditions participants attend three hours of classes each morning. Students select courses from a proposed list of courses that will be available in early April. A partial listing of possible course offerings includes: 2 boys doing art
