OSURA has arranged a special educational tour of the Evergreen Air & Space Museum in McMinnville on Tuesday, April 17. We will load on the bus at the OSU Foundation parking lot at 35th and Western Avenue at 8:30 AM and arrive about an hour later to begin about a 1-1/2 hour docent-guided tour of the Air Museum. Following that we will convene in the Cosmo Cafe for a no-host lunch. Lunch can be selected from salads, soup, hot sandwiches, burgers, fries, chicken strips, fish and chips, desserts and a wide assortment of drinks.
After lunch we will go to the Space Museum for a docent-guided tour of what's new and amazing in the space age.
A brief tour of the new Wings and Waves Waterpark, which just opened last June, will conclude our visit. It's the only educational waterpark in the country, and a spectacular place to see.
We will leave at about 3 PM, with an ETA back at the Foundation at about 4 PM.
Here's the deal: We get a special discount on the admission price if we have a minimum of 15 people attending. If you want to join us for this amazing educational adventure, please send your check for $25 per person to Kate Sanders, OSU Retirement Association, 205 Adams Hall, Corvallis, OR 97331. Make your check payable to OSURA. The $25 covers your admission and part of the transportation cost. Lunch is on your own, from about $8 to $12. Please send your check by March 26.
