Electrical Shutdown Schedule

PP&L, our Electrical Utility provider, is scheduling an all-day electrical shutdown, to replace 3-4kv oil switches in the following buildings, on Sunday, April 21, April 28 and June 16. The PP&L crews will have their trucks and equipment staged along Campus Way, between 14th and Waldo Place. The majority of the work will take place in the Campus Utility Tunnel.

Here is the proposed schedule for the April 21st Shutdown..

The following buildings will be without power from approximately 8am-6pm.

  • Covell Hall
  • Merryfield Hall-West end
  • Graf Hall
  • Batcheller Hall
  • Benton Hall

These buildings will have the power shut off at 8am and re-energized at approximately 10am. Then de-energized at 5pm and re-energized at approximately 6pm.

  • Gleeson Hall
  • Gilkey Hall
  • Gilbert Addition
  • Shepard Hall

The following buildings will be without power from approximately 8am-6pm.

  • Withycombe
  • McNary
  • Wilson
  • Callahan

These buildings will have the power shut off at 8am and re-energized at approximately 10am. Then de-energized at 5pm and re-energized at approximately 6pm.
