Student Computing Facilities (SCF) has over 100 Mac and PCs in an open lab setting for student use. Scanners, digitizer tablets, color laser printing, video editing and access to over 100 computer programs are provided. SCF also supports a number of departmental computer labs on campus. ASOSU needs feedback about proposed computer lab closuresThe Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU) needs your feedback about computing resources on campus. There is a proposal under consideration which, if enacted, would permanently close the Milne and Hovland computer labs.
We need student feedback regarding the implications of the proposed closure. The survey will take approximately 3–5 minutes to complete, and will remain open for student input until 11:59 pm on Saturday, November 21.

We will remain closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We will reopen at 11am Sunday November 29th at 11am. We will continue our regular hours of operation though Finals Week..New OS installed on Dells:Microsoft Windows 7 has been installed on all Dell machine in our Main Facility (Milne Basement), and computer classrooms in Education 126, Milne 130 and Milne 201. We are also upgrading several of our partner labs in the UHC SLUG and INTO. If you have any questions about the OS, see one of our staff members.Adobe Creative Suite Upgraded:We have upgraded our Adobe products to CS4 on both the Macintosh and Windows OSs.
Direct SAN connection at MainOur 2 video stations (903 and 904 in Milne) are now attached to the classroomSAN via our Fibre Channel Network. Users of these stations will now experience the same connection speed to the ClassroomSAN as those over in Kidder28 and 22.
