Information Services (IS), led by Lois Brooks, Vice Provost for Information Services, provides coordination, vision, leadership, and advocacy for the effective application of information technologies to the instructional, research, and service missions of the university.
IS provides the infrastructure enabling the OSU community to make maximum use of the appropriate information technology tools in their learning, teaching, research, outreach, administration, and support activities. IS provides cost-effective resources that support faculty, staff and students while they strive to reach their personal goals, as well as the goals of the University.
Information Services consists of:
- Office of the Vice Provost
- Enterprise Computing Services
Administrative and enterprise application computing: Banner, Blackboard, Data Warehouse, ONID, and test score scanning. Provides enterprise level IT services to the regional universities of Oregon University System and to the System office. - Media Services
Media, web services, and instructional technology to support learning, research, and administrative functions. - Network Services
Network infrastructure, Internet connectivity, videoconferencing, and phone services. - Open Source Lab
Home of growing, high-impact open source communities to encourage open source adoption in education, government, health care and other sectors. - Technology Support Services
Community Network, OSU Computer Helpdesk, and Server Support Group.
