Scholarships

There are several sources of assistance for International Degree students:

It is important to review descriptions of specific scholarships, grants, and awards for basic requirements, but some general principles apply. The International Degree Committee awards limited scholarships and research funding on a competitive basis, using these principles. Among the factors that may be taken into consideration are:
  • the value of the proposed international experience relative to your long-term goals,
  • country of destination,
  • duration of stay,
  • in-country cost-of-living and dollar exchange rate, and
  • availability of other funding sources for your proposed experience.

Eligibility
To qualify for consideration for International Degree scholarships (except OCC, see above for specific rules), you must:

  • be fully admitted to the International Degree program
  • be a full-time OSU student in good standing for the preceding academic year
  • have junior standing at the time of your program abroad (sophomores will be considered only if you can demonstrate that an earlier experience abroad would be benefit your primary major program)
  • have maintained a cumulative 2.75 GPA

Application
Applications for ID scholarships are available now online or in the Study Abroad Resource Center. Deadline is April 7, 2008.

Additional OSU Scholarships:
