Scholarships
There are several sources of assistance for International Degree students:
- International Research Awards (up to $2000) due April 7, 2008 Application (doc)
- Mary Alice Wartman Memorial Scholarship ($500-1000) due April 7, 2008 Application (doc)
- Ray A. Verzasconi Scholarship ($500) due April 7, 2008 Application (doc)
- Kiekel Scholarship (College of Liberal Arts majors only) ($500) due April 4, 2008
- International Science Student Travel Fund (College of Science majors only) ($1000) due April 7, 2008 Application (doc)
- Oregon Consular Corps scholarships (2 of $2500 each) due October 2008

- Non-OSU Scholarships
- the value of the proposed international experience relative to your long-term goals,
- country of destination,
- duration of stay,
- in-country cost-of-living and dollar exchange rate, and
- availability of other funding sources for your proposed experience.
Eligibility
To qualify for consideration for International Degree scholarships (except OCC, see above for specific rules), you must:
- be fully admitted to the International Degree program
- be a full-time OSU student in good standing for the preceding academic year
- have junior standing at the time of your program abroad (sophomores will be considered only if you can demonstrate that an earlier experience abroad would be benefit your primary major program)
- have maintained a cumulative 2.75 GPA
Application
Applications for ID scholarships are available now online or in the Study Abroad Resource Center. Deadline is April 7, 2008.
Additional OSU Scholarships:
Some additional scholarships are designated for students studying science and/or language abroad, or doing undergraduate research. These funds may be of special interest to International Degree students, including:
- Malueg Scholarship: For students majoring or minoring in a foreign language
- Nicodemus Scholarships: NEW OSU scholarship opportunity for Pell-eligible students going abroad!
- URISC guidelines and application form: For undergraduate research in cooperation with OSU faculty (can be used for research abroad)

NSEP: National Security Education Program scholarships for language and cultural study in designated countries (campus deadline for 08-09 academic year, January 25, 2008)
Rotary Club Ambassadorial Scholarships
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship For students currently receiving a Federal Pell grant (Deadline April 3, 2008 for Fall/Academic Year 2008)
Financial Aid
If you are eligible to receive OSU financial aid on campus, this aid will also be available to you if you are earning OSU credit abroad. Your financial aid will be refigured based on the costs of your overseas experience, and you may be eligible for increased aid based on these costs.
