Western Culture/Cultural Diversity

Two courses at OSU are designed to help you get the most out of your study abroad experience and fulfill bacc core requirements at the same time. In addition to the courses you take abroad, you can take one of these courses offered through OSU.

ANTH 208/LING 208: Western Culture Study Abroad

This three-credit course is designed to guide you through the experience of living and studying in an unfamiliar cultural context for an extended period of time. To take this course, you must be a participant in an approved study abroad program or internship in which you will spend at least 10 weeks living in a Western cultural setting outside of the United States. Through journal entries, essays, and other documents you will explore and investigate cross-cultural experiences you will be having abroad.

ANTH 209/LING 209: Cultural Diversity Study Abroad

This three-credit course is designed to guide you through the experience of living and studying in an unfamiliar cultural context for an extended period of time. To take this course, you must be a participant in an approved study abroad program or internship in which you will spend at least 10 weeks living in a non-Western cultural setting outside of the United States. Through journal entries, essays, and other documents you will explore and investigate cross-cultural experiences you will be having abroad.
