Leísmo is a pronominal use common in Cantabria but considered non-standard by the academic community in Spain. Students were given a survey in which they indicated whether or not each sentence in a series was grammatically correct. Demographic information on the students was also gathered using the survey. The data analysis shows a statistically significant negative correlation between the amount of time each student has been studying at the university level, and their acceptance of sentences including the use of leísmo. When the same survey was then given to a group of Mexican students studying at the university level in Oregon, the revised data showed a strong relation between each respondent's country of origin and their acceptance of the sentences including leísmo, the Mexican respondents rejecting the sentences including the use of leísmo at a much higher rate than the Spanish respondents.</style></abstract><work-type><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Undergraduate</style></work-type></record></records></xml>
