The research for this thesis is based on personal interviews with individuals who are involved with contemporary dance in Quebec, books, articles, and videos. Observations and interactions made by the author while in Quebec also help contribute to the conclusions made by the author.
Urbanization and tourism did not have as great of an impact on dance in Quebec, and vice-versa, as had been anticipated. However, the personal interviews led to a closer examination of the historical factors which have influenced dance in Quebec. Quebec's dance, along with the rest of the world, is constantly changing and adapting to an uncertain future in an increasingly globalized world.
