At the beginning of each term, INTO OSU and International Student Advising and Services (ISAS) hold a mandatory orientation program for new international students. This program is designed to provide you with valuable information and facilitate your transition to OSU. By participating in the International Student Orientation, you will gain essential information about:
All newly admitted international students are required to attend orientation and the immigration document check-in. If you do not attend both, International Student Advising and Services will place a hold on your registration. For more details, please send us questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
To cover the cost of orientation, all degree and exchange students will be charged an orientation fee of $35 (winter and spring terms) or $50 (fall term). This fee will be automatically charged to your OSU student account. INTO OSU students have the orientation covered in the fees for their programs.
In addition to the orientation, international students are also required to come to the Immigration Document Check-In and bring photocopies of the documents listed on the following link: Documents to Bring for IDC.
If you are not able to arrive in the US by the orientation date, you will be enrolled in an online make up orientation. If you have questions, please contact the front desk of ISAS in University Plaza or call 541-737-6310.
Students who fail to attend the mandatory International Student Orientation and the Immigration Document Check-In will have a registration HOLD placed on their records. If you are unable to attend one or both of the sessions above, please contact International Student Advising and Services at 541-737-6310 or email email@example.com.
