Topic: OSU Parking Fees and Parking Regulations
Written comments are welcome. E-mail TAPS at the following address.
OSU Parking Fees are proposed to increase effective July 1, 2009. This includes annual parking permits, miscellaneous parking fees, and citation fines. The last increase to annual parking permit fees was implemented three years ago for the 2006-07 Academic Year. It was a three-year fixed price, subject for review again prior to the 2009-10 Academic Year. The other fees have not increased for several years. See below for a complete description of the proposal, OSU Parking FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions) and a comparison of parking fees charged by OSU’s peer universities including other Pac-10 schools.
Authority to establish regulations governing the use of all motor vehicles on the Oregon State Universiy (OSU) campus is derived from Oregon Statutes and action of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education pursuant to such statutes. OSU's Transit and Parking Services (TAPS) Department is designated to perform the role of enforcing these regulations on the OSU campus in order to help maintain safety on campus streets, reduce congestion, improve security and effectively utilize parking facilities.
