This report was presented by Dan Edge at the March Faculty Senate meeting
and input was solicited at that time. The final report is attached.

SET Survey
The Faculty Senate Advancement of Teaching Committee has created
three surveys to gather opinions related to the Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET) form;
all take about 5 minutes to complete. The targeted audience and associated link appear below
(each survey contains questions developed for the targeted audience):

2006 Faculty Survey
The Faculty Economic Welfare and Retirement Committee has constructed a 5 to 10 minute
online survey
to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses of OSU and
the OUS system. The survey will be available through May 19th.
For the results of this survey to be representative of our faculty, it is
critical that we get a good response rate. Urge your colleagues to respond.
Send your own announcement to your colleagues in your own unit.
A message from a colleague probably counts more than a general message from the committee.
All faculty who have representation in the Faculty Senate are included.

Library Committee
The Faculty Senate Library Committee has prepared a four-article
series discussing scholarly communication. The articles are being
published in OSU This Week beginning May 4 and ending May 25.

OSU This Week have been edited due to space limitations. Complete
articles are being archived on the Valley Library
web site on scholarly communications
