Most Engaged Wing Representative/Senator/Knight

This outstanding award is to commemorate the dedicated many that make up Hall Councils and really make them great. It is to recognize those that take on one of the most important jobs and really own it and make it their own. This individual is someone who has truly made a difference with the position that they are in. How did they strive to build community on their floor? How have they shown consistent support to the rest of their Hall Council? How have they used floor funds to benefit their floors? One of the main roles of the Wing Representative is to represent the people at hall councils and be the voice of the people in their building, and the bid should show examples of how this individual has gone above and beyond in their role as a wing representative. This bid should be written by the Hall Council Advisors along with the Hall Council Executive board members. It is highly encouraged for the Executive Members of the Hall Council to seek input from the floors when deciding who the nomination should go to.

Most Improved Hall Council

This written bid will allow for Hall Councils to demonstrate their growth throughout the year. Hall Councils should share their journey, discussing obstacles and challenges they have overcome, and be able to talk about how they have become a more efficient and effective hall council throughout the year. This bid can also address how the executive board and wing representatives have grown as a group, how attendance increased, programs improved, promotions led to positive results, etc. This is a time to show how the hall council developed its strengths and become a powerful resource for their hall and its residents.

Hall with it All

The most esteemed of all Freddie Awards is Hall with it All. This includes both a written and presentation bid. Within the written bid, please answer and elaborate on some of the following material: Was there unity within the hall? How was Hall Council participation by your residents and staff members? What were the quality and quantity of the programs put on by your Hall Council? This bid should showcase the success of your Executive Board as well as contributions made by general assembly members. Please illustrate the cohesiveness of the Hall Council, their teamwork abilities, their willingness to serve their residents (as well as serving each other), the amount of involvement of the Advisors, and how the Hall Council meetings were planned and executed. Basically, this award will demonstrate why your hall is the best hall illustrating the great things your hall and your hall council have done. The written bid should be 3-5 pages in length and the presentation will be no more than five minutes in length. Presentations can be short videos, power points, skits, music videos, etc… The Hall Council can choose the presentation format that allows them to display themselves in the best light.

How will the bids be judged?

The RHA Executive Board and Advisor(s) will read and judge the written bids prior to the banquet. The presentation component of Hall with It All will be judged at the Banquet. Bids will be primarily ranked on creativity, content, and organization, with a heavy emphasis on creativity. Creativity will be its artistic scope and ability to “jump off” the page. Have fun with this! This is not a professional bid by any means so be creative with it! Helpful hint – make a creative “theme” for your hall that relates to the overall theme and carry it throughout each bid. Have fun with this!

What is the theme?

The theme for the 2012 Rezzie Awards is Harry Potter! Bids may be themed to this and costumes are definitely welcome! It is going to be a magical night!
