New website

New website showing how it changes with size

The OSU RHA website has gotten a complete make over that not only makes it easier for the the members of RHA but myself as the webmaster. The site has quite a few new things I would like to show you:

Responsive Design

The site is designed to change to the size of your web browser; providing a nice, functional, easy to use mobile website.

New website event page

Custom event posts with Facebook event link

All events now have their own post that makes them all look similar and provide the necessary information to the residents.

Improved Navigation

Rather than having the navigation links in the sidebar, the links are in the navigation bar across the top of the page.

Improved office hour and event calendars

The office hours and event calendar should now be easier to use and match the site design. Individual executive office hours can be found on the new individual pages.

Improved equipment check out procedure

The equipment rental page now offers a check out form that notifies RHA directly rather than using the old Google Docs Form. As part of this new form, there is an equipment checkout calendar that shows what is checked out and when it needs to be returned.

Feedback

As with any new web site, there is going to be problems that I will work through as I come across them. If you notice anything, please contact me or use the (new) contact form.

I greatly enjoyed working on this new website and can’t wait to here what you all think. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
