Habit Foliage Flowers
Stems
Curly dock (Rumex crispus) foliage is long and narrow, up to 12 inches
long and 2 inches wide.
The margins of the leaves are sinuate and crisped (distinctly ruffled
or curly), hence the common name.
Cauline foliage (foliage on the stems) is generally smaller near the top
of the plant, although they have the same general shape and characteristics.
