OSU community encouraged to participate in Corvallis land use survey

word cloudCorvallis residents, including OSU students, staff and faculty, are encouraged to participate in the city’s land use survey and share their thoughts on how Corvallis should develop in the next 20 years. According to a recent Corvallis housing needs analysis conducted by the city, by 2036 the city will need 337 acres for new commercial and industrial buildings inside the city limits. Additionally, there will be the ned for 3,500 new homes. Where should these be located? Do we need more student housing, or accessory dwelling units? Should we put in more big box retail or more green space?

The surveys close on Nov. 15. There are six study areas (listed below). The survey is available in English and Spanish: http://www.corvallisoregon.gov/landuse
