Wildenschild named associate dean of Graduate School

Dorthe Wildenschild

Dorthe Wildenschild has been appointed associate dean of the Graduate School at Oregon State University. She will assume the role Aug. 1. Wildenschild came to OSU as a tenure-track assistant professor in 2002.  She was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor in 2009 and will be promoted to full professor on July 1.

Wildenschild earned MS and PhD degrees from the Technical University of Denmark in 1991 and 1996, respectively.  She then spent four years as a postdoctoral scholar at UC Davis and at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, after which she worked at the Technical University of Denmark as a Research Associate Professor for two years.

In her role as associate dean, Wildenschild will work with postdoctoral scholars and fellows, and research associates on the OSU campus and liaise and facilitate collaborations with the Research Office.  She will be splitting her time between work with the Graduate School/Research Office and her position in the School of Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering.
