Gro-Low Fragrant Sumac roos a-ro-MAT-ik-a
- Broadleaf deciduous shrub, low, wide spreading, reaches 2-3 ft (60-90 cm) tall with a spread of 6-8 ft (1.8-2.4 m). Leaves alternate, compound, trifoliate (3 leaflets), glossy green, orange-red in fall. Female form, small yellow flowes and red, globose. 6 mm diam., hairy fruit.
- Sun to part shade. Does best in acid, well-drained soil. Used as a fast cover for banks. Stems root when they touch the soil.
- Hardy to USDA Zone 3. Introduced by the Synnesvedt Nursery, Glenview, Illinois.
