Boulevard Falsecypress                       kam-e-SIP-a-ris pi-SIF-er -a

• Conifer, evergreen tree, to 15-25⁺ ft, narrow-pyramidal, conical.  Needles awl-shaped, 6 mm long, curved inward, silvery blue-green in summer and grayish-blue in winter.  Interior brown needles often visible.   Soft to touch.  Compared to C. pisifera  ‘Squarrosa’, its foliage is bluer, more dense, and the plant stays more compact.
• Hardy to USDA Zone 4    A sport of ‘Squarrosa’ introduced by Boulevard Nurseries.  Sometimes sold as a container plant, but it grows larger than most expect and can soon outgrow its role as a foundation plant.
