Seattle Sentinel Bigleaf Maple                        A-ser mak-ro-FIL-um

• Broadleaf deciduous tree, upright, columnar habit, to 40 ft (12 m) or more.
• Sun to part spade.  
• Hardy to USDA Zone (5)6   The fastigiate tree was found along a street in Seattle, it was noticed and named in 1951 by Brian Mulligan, director of the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle (Jacobson, 1996).
