Extension Research and Interests: My extension and research program focuses on the ecology, epidemiology, and management of pathogens causing disease of irrigated specialty crops such as potatoes, grasses, onions, and carrots. My areas of expertise and interest include disease ecology and epidemiology, insect-vectored plant pathogens, and economics of disease suppression. I am interested in developing, implementing, and delivering a research-based, extension program to support integrated pest management of current and emerging diseases problems affecting crop production in Eastern Oregon.
