Deadline for Scheduling Exams with the Graduate School

Use the exam scheduling form to schedule examinations.

Please submit your scheduling form as soon as you schedule your exam but no later than the deadlines listed below.

Master's degree final oral examination of thesis. File the exam scheduling form with the Graduate School one week before the examination.

Doctoral degree oral preliminary examination. File the exam scheduling form with the Graduate School one week before the examination.

Doctoral degree final oral examination of dissertation. File the exam scheduling form with the Graduate School two weeks before the examination.

Thesis Submission Deadline

The final, corrected, and signed copy of your thesis or dissertation must be submitted to the Graduate School within six weeks of the date of the final oral examination (defense). Note: Continuous Enrollment Policy Applies. You must be registered for a minimum of three graduate credits until all degree requirements are completed. To avoid registering for the term following your defense, submit the final corrected and signed thesis or dissertation to the Graduate School before the first day of the following term in which you defend. Diploma and Commencement Deadlines:
Summer 2009 - Summer 2010

Note: the following dates are subject to change.

The diploma and commencement deadlines listed below apply to you ONLY if you want your diploma issued during a specific term OR you want to participate in the June 2010 Commencement. You can participate in Commencement only if you have completed all your degree requirements.

If you meet the deadlines for a given term, you will receive a diploma at the end of the term. If you complete your degree requirements during a given term but after the deadlines for that term, you will receive a diploma at the end of the following term. If you meet the diploma deadlines for Summer 2009, Fall 2009, or Winter 2010 and Commencement deadlines for Spring 2010, you may participate in the June 2010 Commencement.
