OSU Banner Login Information

(effective May 1, 2010) Use your ONID username and password to log into Banner.

Remember: ONID passwords are case sensitive.

Passwords must adhere to ONID Password Rules.

You will not be required to change your password until your next regularly scheduled password expiration.

NEVER GIVE YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE

OSU computer support personnel will never ask for your password.

NOTE:

• 10 consecutive failed attempts to log in will lock your account for 1 hour. After that hour, you can try to log in again.
• There is no limit to the number of times you can try to choose a new password that will satisfy the password rules.
• If you also have a Data Warehouse account, first change your ONID password. Next, log into Banner PROD, then wait about 10 minutes for the accounts to synchronize passwords. Then use your ONID username and password to access the Data Warehouse.

After your password expires, you will see the message 'Log into ONID to change your Password' when you log into Banner.

You will be required to change your password every 365 days. After that time you won't be able to log in until your password is changed.

You have to log in to Banner at least once every 365 days to keep your account active. If you have a data warehouse account, you still need to log into Banner at least once every 365 days, and also need to log into the data warehouse account at least once every 365 days to keep it active.

Do not share your password with anyone. Do not leave your password in a visible or obvious location. Make it hard to guess but easy to remember.
