The Views User Interface provides a default setting that will allow you to restrict access to a view. Please keep in mind that this does not restrict access to content itself.
This FAQ assumes the user has a view established already and understands the basic Views UI composition.
- Go to Admin menu > Site building > Views and locate your view in the list.
- Click your view's edit link to open it for editing.
- Once inside your view, look within the Basic Settings group for the Access element and click on the word Unrestricted. This will open a drawer at the bottom of the views panel with the following access restriction options:
- None
- Permission
- Role
- Select the desired access restriction method.
- Click the Update button.
- Click the Save button.
