Acclaimed essayist and new faculty member Elena Passarello will read from her debut collection of essays, Let Me Clear My Throat (Sarabande Books 2012) on Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Union’s Journey Room on the Oregon State University campus.

Professor Tara Williams brings scholarship on medieval magic from her sabbatical fellowship at Harvard University to English literature surveys and seminars at OSU.

High school English teacher Steven Rust returned to OSU to study film and had the unique opportunity to serve as assistant editor of Cinema Journal, under Professor Jon Lewis. A decade later, Rust published his first book, a co-edited anthology entitled Ecocinema in Theory and Practice (Routledge Press and the American Film Institute).

New titles by school faculty represent the full spectrum of scholarly and creative endeavors in creative writing, writing and rhetoric, literary studies, and film studies.
