Sigma Delta Omega
As members of Sigma Delta Omega, we are committed to academics; striving to excel in all of our endeavors and leading others by our positive examples. We are consistently in the top 5 for sorority GPA.
Sigma Delta Omega is a unique sorority at Oregon State University for women in science. Founded in 2006, we currently have over 50 members who are enrolled in a variety of majors including: Biochemistry/Biophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Bioresource Research, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Optometry, Mathematics, Exercise and Sports Science, Environmental Science, General Science, and Zoology. Many of our members are involved in on-campus clubs, off-campus organizations, the University Honors College, professional organizations, honors societies, ASOSU, and intramural sports teams.
As members of Sigma Delta Omega, we are committed to academics, sisterhood, and service. We strive to lead others by our positive examples and instill a love of science in younger generations. As a sisterhood we are proud to wear our colors of gold, green, and blue. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions!
Sigma Delta Omega raises money each year to fund science education programs and projects at Corvallis-area elementary, junior high, or high schools. This fall we will be selling chocolate covered cherries and in the spring we will hold our second annual "Mad Scientist 5k Fun Run" (all proceeds going to our philanthropy program). See our website for more information.
