The Oregon State University Colony of Sigma Beta Rho was founded on May 21, 2005. On July 9th, 2011, the executive Board of Sigma Beta Rho Fraternity, Inc. reviewed the requirements of the Oregon State Colony and saw that they were all met. After 7 years of hard work and dedication by every brother Oregon State Colony is now Oregon State Associate Chapter.
Sigma Beta Rho was established to foster the ideals of Society, Brotherhood, and Remembrance amongst its members. They believed that through their bonds of brotherhood they would be able to establish an organization that would instill unity amongst its members, promote South Asian culture, and aid the greater community at large. They felt that the principles of Society, Brotherhood, and Remembrance would develop leaders from young men both as undergraduate students on their college campuses and as professionals in their lives upon graduation.
