What is a Career Fair? A career fair is an expo that usually includes company or organization tables or booths where resumes can be collected and business cards can be exchanged. Career fairs provide a convenient location for students to meet employers and perform first interviews. Career fairs are good places to meet many company representatives from corporations of all industries and sizes during a short period of time.
Interested in working for a "Green" company? Look for this symbol displayed on various companies booths, and also on the map to find out which businesses and organizations have made a significant, demonstrable, and measurable commitment to make their establishment’s production processes more environmentally sustainable, and reduced their use of natural resources.
"I wish I would have gone as an undergraduate. I would have had a lot more options when I graduated then. Next year should be my last year of graduate school so I will definitely be going to the job fairs each term. I was getting extra credit for a class this term, but I had a lot of interest in my resume and at least 6 different companies that showed an interest in me. The more options I have when I graduate, the more I can shop around for a company that will be right for me and fit into my future goals." - Grad Student (2011 Fall Career Fair)
"I landed an interview while at the Career Fair and due to the assistance of Career Services, I felt very prepared. The Career Center staff is top notch and I will always remember the help they have given me." - Joshua Querl
