So, its official (as of last week I believe), but Oregon State University’s football team will be traveling to Happy Valley to play the Lions — and I’ll be there. My wife has given me the ok so I’ve got the plane tickets, a hotel room in altoona, pa and a rental car. Now all […]

Finally, proof that I did something last year :)
Monday, 7 January 2008
I’ll only have one more post about this (when I actually have books in hand), but Kyle Banerjee and I spent the last year writing a book about building digital libraries. While I yet to have the proof in hand, I did get a call from our publisher letting us know that the book is […]

Christmas has come and in 10 minutes, will go for another year, and it was fun. Nathan came up with two of my favorite memories of this year’s Christmas. One happened two days ago when we opened presents at my parents house. Nathan and Kenny got a little foam shooter and he was hot to […]

Riding in the dark
Wednesday, 12 September 2007
Today marked the first day since last winter where I road home in utter blackness. Generally, this would happen much later in the year but I hung around Corvallis a bit later than usual and started for home a little after 8 pm. While it’s dark at 8 pm, it gets really dark after 8:30 […]

So this weekend, my family and I spent 4 nights down at Diamond Lake with my wife’s two sisters, their families and their parents.
(not pictured, my brother-in-law, my wife’s parents and me)
For Kenny and Nathan, it was their second trip down to Diamond Lake in 2 weeks. During the first trip down, we went camping […]
