Giving course lectures, carry out scholarly research for the advancement of knowledge and assist and supervise students doing their final year essay. In my extra curricular activities, I voluntarily and actively participated in different standing/ ad hoc departmental/ faculty/ university committee, provided tutorial support for females and other disadvantaged students free of charge, participated in staff training and staff recruitment activities.

Responsibilities/Assignments

Apart from my teaching duties, I worked as planning and programming officer of the University. My responsibilities were planning, implementing and monitoring the University’s activities at a large with top priorities given to the annual and strategic plans and conduct quarterly assessment reports on the implementation of the plans.

Specifically, I engaged in activities such as:

• Assist and advise the president on matters related to programs of the university;
• Prepare the long term plan as per the mission and objectives of the university;
• Prepare annual overall plan and budget of the university; monitor and evaluate its implementation;
• Develop the overall human resources development plan of the university, monitor and evaluate its implementation;
• Assist on curriculum, research, training needs and assessment of the college;
• Plan and prepare ways and means of securing funds, materials and manpower assistances;
• Gather and hold data relevant to the overall activities of the university and create a management information system;
• Organize, coordinate and direct activities of my office;
• Undertake performance evaluation of my staff.
