About the project

The Story Pouch is an animated fantasy adventure following the journey of an individual on a path toward creative expression.

The project, written and directed by Todd Kesterson features the creative talents of over fifty students and faculty members from Oregon State University and the University of Oregon. Additionally the team comprises professional artists including internationally recognized color stylist and conceptual artist Ron Dias, who has worked with Disney since the production of Sleeping Beauty. This diverse team is aiming for a 2008 release of this state-of-the-art computer animated short film, with plans to submit to festivals around the globe.

This production is unique in a number of ways:

  • It involves a diverse production team including students and graduates from two universities as well as faculty members and professional artists.
  • This is primarily a volunteer team. People are contributing out of a desire to work on a team-based project, tell an engaging story, and gain professional production experience.
  • Everyone involved has had the opportunity to contribute to the story or the design in some way. It is truly a team effort on every level.
