family health insurance
June 26, 2008 – 10:03 amI just received a job offer at a local company and it is a pretty good deal. I would start at around thirteen dollars an hour and be up to fifteen in about a year. My family health insurance would start in two months after the starting date. With a Wife and three children I feel that this is a good move, but it would be third shift. Ten thirty to Six thirty and my wife is not crazy about the hours. My friend Tony Drives for this company one day a week, Sunday. He tells me the work inside is boring and hard and he is landscaping earning a lot more money than they are paying. He also said he paints, and does some small repairs. I guess he is doing well because he is sending his kid to Italy for a month thru some type of program. Tony said it was six thousand out of his pocket with the discount thru the organization he is involved in. I guess I felt jealous, but he does say he needs family health insurance and will have to purchase it. I guess that is the downside to being your own boss, But still would love to be. I worked steady for a company for five straight years before they downsized and currently have my children covered by the government and I have to go to the clinic if I need something. Having Family health insurance is very important today, not that I used it a lot, but let me tell you that when I lost my job we had three different instances which required doctor visits and one emergency room visit. Of course they could not find anything wrong with my seven year olds leg after two sets of xray’s and a full day followed by another doctor visit, but it can be expensive without insurance. So maybe for now I am settling on an okay job, but I know tht i will have good family health insurance untill something better comes my way. My wife teaches at our local elementary school and does not receive insurance or pay over the summer. We are both talking about returning to school and I am sure the future will hold many more
challenges for us, but together as a family we will survive and hopefully achieve all of our goals in life.
