games

My husband recently found a website that offers lots of online games available for download for only about $10.00 per month.  For a while before this he used to play online trials which were 60 minutes and although they gave you a taste of the game, they never really let you get far enough into it to really enjoy it.  It seemed like the game always ended right around the time that you got good enough at it to believe that you could make it to the end.

He really got me hooked on Diner Dash and I had a really good time completing all the levels on that game.  Then he had downloaded Burger Rush, and that one was really a lot of fun. Once I finished that one, he down loaded a game called Plant Tycoon.  I don’t know if you have ever played that one, but it is a game where you plant plants and grow and sell them for profit.  You can buy seeds and cross breed them with other plants to make special ones.  I got up to three special ones, and then I could not get any more of the special ones.  I bought the best soil and water and used all the extras but all was lost.  After about a week of trying to come up with one more new breed to no avail, I finally threw in the towel and gave up.  Then for a while we played this babysitting game, which he wasn’t crazy about, but I got a real kick out of.  Then I got to a certain level which seemed to have a glitch in it and only gave you about half the time of the other levels.  I tried and tried for about 5 days to beat the level, using all different strategies until I finally got through it.

I really get a kick out of playing online games.  It is really great to be able to download them and play them when you have time.  Unfortunately, once I am hooked on a particular game, I find that I am really obsessed and can’t stop playing until I beat the game.  I wind up using every spare moment I have dedicated to beating the thing.  I enjoy it, but now I am aware that this can become a troublesome addiction and I don’t want to blow too much time, so I only download about one or two games a month.  Once I beat a game, I take a break before beginning on the next one.  After all, I only have so much time I can dedicate to this habit.
