Boston Red Sox tickets
May 10, 2008 – 4:24 pmA couple of guys that live on my floor in the dorm have a bit of a rivalry going. The two of them are huge sports fans and they are all about starting stuff up. One kid is from Chicago and the other is from Boston. The will argue and they will actually fight over their respective city’s sports teams. Right now they are watching the hockey playoffs but with little interest. Their main focus is on the baseball season. Both kids play each other in intramural baseball and they have each headed teams with the same names as those in the cities. Right now they are planning on attending all of the games between the two teams throughout the year. One kids has promised to get all of the Boston Red sox tickets and the other has promised to get all of the Chicago cubs tickets. I am just trying to stay out of the mix as much as possible since I don’t even really watch sports. I mean I can sit through really any game except for maybe tennis which just dulls me to tears. Soccer I can sit through the easiest since I used to play it when I was a kid. But no matter how much I have been trying to stay out of the middle of this dorm floor sports war, I have been sucked in without my permission. They both decided, since I am friends with them, that I have to be the mediator. They said it had something to do with my lack of favor for either one and since all the other guys on the floor have loyalty to one team or another, they run all of their arguments through me. So at least once a week I have to hear endless stats and figures while they use my computer to buy more Chicago cub tickets or another pair of forgotten Boston Redsox tickets. Needless to say I am really excited for the semester to be over because I have requested, without their knowing, that I be placed in a dorm where neither of them will be living in the fall.
