Obama

Barack Obama is possibly going to become the next president of the US.  So how will that effect the US.  Well, I personally think that in the worldwide view it will probably good to have a president who is not so white bred looking and sounding.  I think that he is a very well spoken individual with a lot of good ideas.  I am really impressed that so far during this campaign, he has not resorted to the same mud slinging tactics of his opponent.  To me that shows character.  I absolutely hate it when any candidate starts personally attacking their opponent.  I think it shows a total lack of class.  When running for an office, I think that presenting your own views is a better way of getting elected into office. 

I know that my mother told me that she won’t vote for Obama.  She is afraid of the terrorist connection.  I personally have looked into it, but I am not sure about it.  On the one hand it is a little frightening to think that the next president of the US could be a terrorist.  I just don’t see the fact that he has some ties to Islam, as being a sure sign that he is a terrorist.  I also find it difficult to believe that with all the levels of high security in this country that our government security agencies, have not looked at the candidates and their ties very closely.  I really can’t see that if there was any question of it, that our government would allow this man to become president.  You never can tell though, because these terrorists we have been dealing with have some very well thought out plans for our country, that may include putting one of their own in power in this country.  I mean they don’t have any problem laying in wait for us to drop our guard and then, BOOM they hit us again. 

I think that there is not much any president can do for us now that we have allowed Bush to make such a shambles out of things for the US both at home and abroad.  I guess when we elected Bush we never worried about whether or not he was a terrorist, but maybe we should have.  Obviously, the waves from his reign will be felt for years to come.
