Exhibition stands

I just finished my application to the arts festival here in town in July. The Arts Festival is the biggest event in town all year long. The population of our town triples just from all the artists and the people coming in to look at the new exhibition stands. All of the art is just amazing and a good deal of it is extremely rare and isn’t shown at other fairs. The festival is usually around five hundred fair stands. Each exhibition design is created to minimize time of stand construction and maximize the individuality of each presenter. I am showing my pottery which is a series of about three hundred wheel-thrown pots all glazed with my own personal mixtures that don’t exist anywhere else. I am really confident that now that I have my first trade show stand that I will get plenty more when people see my product. That’s one of the coolest part of the arts festival here is that major critics from all around the country come to see all of the exhibit stand designs and they recommend their favorites to other shows and festivals around the country. Once you have a recommendation it doesn’t matter what you do from there on as long as you exhibition design stays the same for the year, because you are on the fast track to becoming a self-sufficient artist. There is one critic in particular that I am hoping to impress who comes all the way from Germany every year. He is the representative for the exhibition Germany pottery festival which is just amazing to be a part of. It is one of my dreams to travel Europe selling my art eventually, but I wouldn’t mind if I did that before I traveled across America. Either way is fine by me. For now though I just have to worry about keeping myself disciplined and keep turning out my highest quality art for the festival. The worst thing I could imagine isn’t not impressing any critics, but it’s running out of pottery to sell in the middle of the festival. I hope all goes well and I am sure that it will.
